"Jumping for Joy" ...

Had this little cutie cut out from the Cricut Recess cartridge for a while and finally finished up the card for Creative Time Emma's "Throwback Thursday Challenge".

Here are the details for this challenge:
*** This challenge is a SPORTS CHALLENGE! Use any sports cartridge you have & if you don't own any sports theme carts, just use anything you have & just make sure it has something to do w/sports!:)

My eighth grade daughter was the inspiration for this card ... her school colors are red & white.  "Go Lions!"  The card is 4.25 x 5.5 inches and the little cheerleader is cut at 3.5 inches and stamped with Peachy Keen's "Wide eyed kids" face stamp.  I used My Creative Time's "Anyday Bingo & Crossword" stamp set for the little "S" on her uniform and the "Just a Little Note to Say ... " stamp set for the sentiment.

Can't wait for Miss Emma's new stamp release on Friday ... hope my paycheck is extra-big this week!

Scrappy Moms "Looney" Terrific Tuesday Challenge

Took a crafting hiatus for a while but I'm definitely back at it now and eager to do lots of creating in 2012.

Scrappy Moms' Terrific Tuesday challenge is to make a project using a cartoon character.  I chose Thumper (although I think Thumper is a boy and there is A LOT of pink here) from Cricut's "Disney Classics" cartridge and printed and cut it out on my Imagine.  I paired it with the stamp set from Scrappy Moms called "Furry Friends" for the sentiment.  The scalloped card is from Cricut's "Elegant Edges" and welded together on my Gypsy.  The printed paper is Basic Grey "Perhaps" and I used Liquid Pearls in "petal" for the little pearly dots along the scallops.  The little label is from My Creative Time and the embossing powder and ribbon were from Michael's.

- Cricut "Disney Classics" cartridge (Thumper) 3.9 inches
- Cricut "Elegant Edges" cartridge (scalloped card base)
- Basic Grey (printed paper)
- Scrappy Moms stamps (sentiment)
- My Creative Time (label die)
- Michael's (ribbon & embossing powder)

Sponge + cake ???

This card design popped in my head this afternoon and I really wanted to get it done for a couple of challenges ... little did I know how painstaking that little sponge can be to piece together ... LOL!  So, unfortunately my photo was not taken in natural daylight like I usually do  :(

This card is 4.25" by 5.5".  Spongebob is cut at 2.88 inches from the Spongebob Cricut cartridge.  The cake is cut at 5.2 inches from the Everyday Paper Dolls Cricut cartridge and the little sentiment cloud is cut at 1 inch from Create a Critter Cricut cartridge.  The sentiment is from Scrappy Mom's "The Charmed Life" stamp set.  The background paper is embossed with Cuttlebug's "Tiny Bubbles" embossing folder.

Bday Sundaes "Cakes & Cupcakes" Hop

One of my favorite blogs is having their first blog hop this week.  It's Birthday Sundaes and the theme this week is "Cakes & Cupcakes birthday cards".  Their design team has some awesome cards to share; I am always overwhelmed by their creativity and they are offering some great blog candy goodies for playing along.
My entry for this challenge is an A2 sized card featuring a cupcake from the Cricut Imagine "Yummy" cartridge.  I had a hard time deciding which to choose ... this is such a soft pretty patterned cartridge.  I added a strip of ribbon from Pink Paislee and some Stickles.  The stamped sentiment is from Pink by Design's "Take the Cake" set.

- Cricut "Yummy" cartridge (cupcake)
- Cricut "Blast Off" cartridge (pink printed paper)
- Pink Paislee (ribbon trim)

Another Birthday Sundaes challenge :)

This week's challenge at Birthday Sundaes is a fun one!  It's a photo inspiration challenge.  For my take on it, I pulled out my old Quickutz dies and used this cute little shark with the big eyes.  The cupcake is from the Doodlecharms Cricut cartridge and the paper is from Cosmo Cricket.  The embossed sentiment is from Pink by Design stamps "Simply Everything".  I added some Stickles to the candle flame and cupcake.  Ribbon is by KI Memories.
