Sponge + cake ???

This card design popped in my head this afternoon and I really wanted to get it done for a couple of challenges ... little did I know how painstaking that little sponge can be to piece together ... LOL!  So, unfortunately my photo was not taken in natural daylight like I usually do  :(

This card is 4.25" by 5.5".  Spongebob is cut at 2.88 inches from the Spongebob Cricut cartridge.  The cake is cut at 5.2 inches from the Everyday Paper Dolls Cricut cartridge and the little sentiment cloud is cut at 1 inch from Create a Critter Cricut cartridge.  The sentiment is from Scrappy Mom's "The Charmed Life" stamp set.  The background paper is embossed with Cuttlebug's "Tiny Bubbles" embossing folder.

Bday Sundaes "Cakes & Cupcakes" Hop

One of my favorite blogs is having their first blog hop this week.  It's Birthday Sundaes and the theme this week is "Cakes & Cupcakes birthday cards".  Their design team has some awesome cards to share; I am always overwhelmed by their creativity and they are offering some great blog candy goodies for playing along.
My entry for this challenge is an A2 sized card featuring a cupcake from the Cricut Imagine "Yummy" cartridge.  I had a hard time deciding which to choose ... this is such a soft pretty patterned cartridge.  I added a strip of ribbon from Pink Paislee and some Stickles.  The stamped sentiment is from Pink by Design's "Take the Cake" set.

Another Birthday Sundaes challenge :)

This week's challenge at Birthday Sundaes is a fun one!  It's a photo inspiration challenge.  For my take on it, I pulled out my old Quickutz dies and used this cute little shark with the big eyes.  The cupcake is from the Doodlecharms Cricut cartridge and the paper is from Cosmo Cricket.  The embossed sentiment is from Pink by Design stamps "Simply Everything".  I added some Stickles to the candle flame and cupcake.  Ribbon is by KI Memories.

Happy Birthday to Ewe!

Another birthday card whipped up for the Birthday Sundaes challenge ... you can never have too many bday cards in your stash.  This week's theme is "Anything Goes."  I thought this little sheep from Cricut's "Birthday Bash" cartridge was cute!  I embossed him with Cuttlebug's "Spots & Dots" embossing folder.  Scrappy Mom's had the perfect sentiment (combined two sentiments).

Happy Birthday Sydney!

My daughter Sydney is celebrating her birthday today .... can't believe my little girl is growing up so fast!  Since all she wanted was her cell phone upgraded, I thought this card was appropriate.  The phone is from the "Smiley Cards" cartridge and the printed paper is from "Bubblegum Stripes" Imagine cartridge.  The stamped sentiment is from Scrappy Moms "Simple Sentiments" set.  I added some googly eyes and some rhinestones to "bling it up" a bit.

Life's a Beach!

Yay, summer has finally come to Wisconsin!  Decided to make this little easel card for Fantabulous Cricut's Challenge Me Monday.  This challenge involves making a water themed project.  This one was a lot of fun ... picking out all the little details.  I used Everyday Paper Dolls and Life's a Beach cartridges ... also Berries and Cream Imagine cartridge for her little bathing suit and the flip flops (loving this one a lot lately!)  The faces are, of course, Peachy Keen stamps (Simple Sallies & Wide-eyed Kids).  Used My Creative Time's "Just a Little Note to Say ..." stamp set for the sentiment!

"Pretty Peas"

My Creative Time's Emma is hosting another Throwback Thursday challenge ... this  time using either Cricut's "Wild Card" or "Just Because Cards" cartridge and some type of embossing.

This was a great excuse to pull out two cartridges which I haven't utilized too much.  I chose the peas from Just Because Cards and dressed them up "pretty".  I stamped the little peas with the smallest size of Peachy Keen's "Princess Face Assortment" set.  The embossing on the background is my "polka dots" Cuttlebug folder.  The little tiara came from Cricut's "Paper Doll Dress Ups" and I added a little silver Stickles.

A Quick Patriotic Card

Here's a quick card I put together this morning using "A Child's Year" Cricut cartridge.  There are so many cute cuts on this cart; it's really versatile.  I used my Imagine to flood fill the front layer and cut it at 3.2.  The sentiment is from Scrappy Mom's "Yankee Doodle Dandy" stamp set.  Used Cuttlebug embossing folder "seeing spots" for the background and a little maraschino twine by The Twinery to finish it off.

- Once Upon a Princess Cricut cartridge (tag for sentiment)

Happy 4th of July!

Just received Scrappy Moms "Yankee Doodle Dandy" stamp set and the sentiments are soooo perfect for my 4th of July cards.  Decided to try them out with cards for my little niece and nephew.

I used the "Cricut Decals" cart on my new Expression 2.  I cut each of the patterns at 3.5 inches, but had to change the eyes a little as the eyes just shred when cutting ... they are so small.  I added Action Wobbles to the little girl and boy so they are "waving" their little sparkler and flag around!  Hope they like them!

Mr. Pink's Photo Inspiration Challenge

Pink By Design's "Mr. Pink" has a GREAT challenge going on right now ... Create a project, card, layout or something else that is inspired by the picture below ...

I must say, Mr. Pink has great taste in photos .... wish I could jump in there right now and grab a tasty daiquiri.  I chose to create a card using Pink By Design's "Summer Vacation" stamp set for my sentiment.  It is definitely one of my favorite sets I have of Sarah's.   I used the Pack Your Bags cartridge for the beach scene and the SpongeBob Squarepants for the tiki frame.  The printed paper is from Bella Blvd.

"Lotso" Birthday Hugs

Don't Worry ... be happy!

This was a really fun card to make for Emma's Throwback Thursday Challenge at My Creative Time.  I have been wanting to use this cute little girl on a card for quite some time and this was just the push I needed.  Emma's adorable sentiment stamp is just perfect for this ... from her "Turn That Frown Upside Down" set.

The challenge involved using any of the Lite cartridges and some form of "bling".  I chose the Playtime cart for the little ice cream girl and Twinkle toes for the frame shape.  Of course, she needed a Peachy Keen face to go with it!  I used Glossy Accents for the little tear in her eye and the ice cream scoops.

Scrappy Moms Terrific Tuesday Challenge - Life's A Beach

This was really a fun challenge as I absolutely love everything about the beach; it was hard to choose which images to use .... this is such a cute cartridge.  I chose the palm tree and hula girl ... reminds me of Maui.

Anyway, I used random cardstock scraps.  The blue background was embossed with Cuttlebug's D'vine Swirl folder.  I added Liquid Pearls to the lei and flower.  For the sand I used one of the neatest products ever ... it is real sand by MuddPuddles.  You spread it on wet ... kind of a glue-like consistency and it dries awesomely ... does not flake off at all.  The hula girl's face was stamped with the tiniest size of Peachy Keen's "Funshine Face Assortment."  The sentiment is from the "Summer Vacation" set by Pink By Design.  I am definitely going to be ordering the new one from Scrappy Moms though ... like I said I love the beach and anything summery ... it is one cute set!

- Life's A Beach (hula girl, palm tree)
- Everyday Paper Dolls (sand)
- Peachy Keen (Funshine Face Assortment) stamp set
- Cuttlebug D'vine Swirl embossing folder

The challenge includes using the "Doodlecharms" cartridge and the color "blue".  I decided to use the sweet little seahorse and peachify her with one of the stamps from the Peachy Keen Critter Face set.

My First Challenge!

Almost missed this deadline, but wanted to post something for the Scrappy Mom's Terrific Tuesday Challenge.  This week's challenge was to use Cricut's "Once Upon a Princess" cartridge.  I chose the cute little castle cut and paired it with the banner from the "Twinkle Toes" cartridge.  I didn't have any "princessy" stamps to use but I do ADORE the new Scrappy Mom's "Happily Ever After" sentiment set.

Welcome to my blog!

I am very new to this whole blogging thing, so please bear with me.  I have a ton to figure out yet, but thought I'd give it a try since I love seeing everyone else's crafty little blogs.  Here's one of the cards I made this weekend.

It features the adorable Peachy Keen CottageCutz Duck Die and accessories.  Isn't she just the cutest?  Printed paper is by K & Company "Carolyn Gavin Greenhouse" pad.  Card stock is by Paper Trey Ink.  Used Cuttlebug "Spots & Dots" embossing folder and twine by "The Twinery" in Caribbean.  My sentiment is cut from Cricut "Once Upon a Princess" cart and the cute sentiment is from Pink By Design's "Summer Vacation" stamp set.  I used Stickles Fruit Punch on the little innertube and Waterfall on the water splashes.

Thanks for stopping by!
